From September 15th to October 6th, 2025, I took part in an Erasmus+ mobility program in Córdoba, Spain, where I worked with Europroyectos Erasmus+. The company helps Erasmus participants with every aspect of their stay — including accommodation, transport, documents, and cultural activities. During my three weeks there, I was mainly responsible for graphic design tasks, working closely with my supervisor, Beatriz Correa, and mobility coordinator, Kinga Kisjuhász. The experience turned out to be both professionally valuable and personally enriching.
Our journey began on Monday, September 15th, when our group met at the bus station and travelled to Vienna Airport. After a short flight, we arrived in Málaga, and from there continued to Córdoba, where we met our local coordinator and checked into the hostel. That evening, we had a welcome tour through the city centre, where we saw the famous Mezquita and many other historical landmarks. For dinner, we tried traditional Spanish food, including paella de pollo, which was a great introduction to Andalusian cuisine.
In the following days, we got to know our supervisors and learned more about Europroyectos’ work. My task, together with my colleague Eva, was to design materials for the company’s new projects and social media. We started by creating business cards and name tags using their official graphic manual, which included all the colors, fonts, and branding guidelines. Beatriz often met with us online to discuss our progress and give us feedback. I quickly learned how to apply the company’s visual identity consistently and prepare print-ready files, such as PDFs and DXF documents.
The first week was quite busy, but we managed to finish our first designs successfully. Beatriz and the team were happy with our work, which motivated us even more. We organized all our projects in Google Drive to keep everything accessible and professional. Outside of work, we had plenty of time to explore Córdoba and nearby places. We visited the Great Mosque, one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen, and even went on a weekend trip to Nerja, a small seaside town near Málaga. The day was full of sunshine, swimming, and churros — although I ended up getting a little sunburned, it was worth it.
In the second week, we completed the name tags and business cards and then moved on to new projects, such as designing mugs and certificates for Erasmus participants. Beatriz asked us to prepare versions in English and bilingual ones in Spanish-English. I found it exciting to create something that would later be used to celebrate the achievements of others. We also learned to adapt our designs for different tools like Canva, which allowed Europroyectos to edit the text later on.
Our weekends were always full of new experiences. We took a day trip to Málaga, visited the beach and the Pompidou Museum, and explored the lively city centre. The following weekend, we went to Seville, where we saw the Cathedral, the Real Alcázar, and Plaza de España. The architecture and atmosphere of Andalusia were truly impressive and different from anything I had experienced before.
In the final week, we worked on several new promotional designs, including T-shirts, eco bags, stickers, envelopes, and even an apron. Beatriz especially liked my apron design, which made me proud of how far I had come since the beginning. We also prepared a final presentation summarizing all our projects and met with Beatriz for a closing meeting. She thanked us for our effort and told us that we worked like real professionals, even though we were still interns. The mobility ended with a small certification ceremony and a goodbye barbecue with our mentors and coordinators — a perfect ending to an unforgettable experience.
Looking back, this Erasmus+ mobility taught me a lot about teamwork, design, and working in an international environment. I improved my technical skills, learned how to communicate better in English, and became more confident in presenting my ideas. At the same time, I had the opportunity to experience Spanish culture, explore new cities, and meet amazing people. It was an incredible mix of learning, creativity, and adventure — an experience that I’ll remember for a long time.
